The Monster, September 2021

They don't see what happens inside of me,
where I die again and again.
I wash value out of
   my self-critic fabric,
and the water
   flows onto paper,where
      into letters it stains.
Yirou (Cynthia) Wang is seventeen years old and a senior studying at Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Academy in China. Yirou was born and grew up in Beijing, a place she likes very much. Her biggest hobby is programming. She found the beauty of codes and computers since childhood when trying to code plug ins for Minecraft. As a senior, she is preparing to take this a step further and go abroad as a Computer Science student next year. More info about her coding is available at her GitHub account. Apart from a computer geek, sh's a girl who loves to draw, sing, game, and write. Those are the things that support her when she's down, things that can let the feelings dwelling inside of her flow out. She lets the meters and syllables  put themselves together.
