moon talking

Paige Ordway
gazing up at the sky,
the moon stares back at me
it’s there
forme
every night.

i talk to the moon
i whisper to the moon
i cry to the moon
i call out to the moon

the moon
does what
no one else can.

because
every night
when i gaze up
at the moon
and it stares
backat me,

it shines bright,
and reminds me
that
just like itself,
i am also whole,
all by myself.
